Mavado Album flopped in First week

Mavado for the first week of sales of his highly anticipated album "Mr. Brooks .. A Better Tomorrow" did not do pretty well. This is accroding to a gleaner report. The singj new album Mr. Brooks A better Tomorrow failed to make any of Billboards Magazine charts in its first week of release.

With the hype prior to the release of the album once again the pundits are saying that VP Records have failed to capitalise. Some are saying that too much Stephen Di Genious is on the album, some saying its just the Dave Kelly production that was sampled by TJ records that caused the flurry interest (same for serani no games) to the album and nothing else is in it. Some say its the cheezy video that was released and re-done for BET. 

But I think its too early to say the thing flopped. The gully God had gotten some good reception with the hit song I'm so Special and a lot of good media coverage ... its my opinion that the buck does not stop here. As I dont think also those positive reviews and sold out shows were not just that. After being compared to the likes of Bob and said to be the best thing since the great rastaman a lot was expected from the man from Cassava Piece in terms of sales. But other issues such as the recession can take a lot of the blame here..

But at least the Mavado team could have done a bit better in terms of the video for "im so special"... 

I saw a new video from Assassin for the track "same thing again" ... and im saying those who did the Serani and Mavado videos need to take a look at Assassins video ... in these times, and it has been for some time, a good video helps out a scenario...

anyway we giving it some time to see how it goes... remember you can still drop your votes on the main page .. if you have confidence that this album will soon start gain some momentum.
