Ding Dong rejected by Trinidad ...promoters fuming

Ding Dong

I was about to say of all the people they gonna ban from Trinidad ..they went on and ban Ding Dong... how much different is Ding from Chris Gayle and Jerome Taylor?...big difference I say Ding makes you cheerful and Gayle and the other Jamaicans on the worst indies team (aka west indies cricket team)certainly has not bring a smile to faces for more than ten years or so.
The funny thing about all of this is that Ricky Trooper who was banned by the united states is at it again this time in the schengen states. He is perhaps banned in Trinidad as well... it would seem that the Trinis feel threatened by 'Jamaicans of bad influence'...ok then fair enough its your country you can do as wish. Its a matter of time that they will be banning Bob Marley related material and even Mr. Goddy Goddy.. cause once you are a Jamaican there is a chance that some bad influence might be in you.
The promoters in Trinidad are hopping with the turn of events as they had booked ding and even had him a first class flight to the twin island republic only to be told that he cant enter.

According to reports the promoter of the show stated that ...
"when ding dong came here he was told he was on the list of artistes banned, which is a fact, but we the promoters didn't know about it. I don't understand this, he is not an artiste known for profanity or violence, he even promotes abstinence in school. Everybody knows Ding Dong is a fun artiste who does dance songs."
According to Richmond, the event was being promoted on the Internet, on the radio, via flyers and in the national newspapers two months prior and they were not informed by the government that he would be unable to attend. A first class ticket he says was also booked for Ding Dong on Caribbean Airlines.
"This is a total shock and disappointment to the country. He's one of the biggest things in the dancehall music in Trinidad right now, (and) the country was looking forward to seeing him," he said. Richmond said Ding Dong, who is known for songs like Holiday and Party Cup, was also booked by them in May of last year and performed with no problems.

He added, "I've heard that a lot of Jamaican artistes are on the list and the government should tell us who is on the list so we, the promoters, know who not to take bookings from. There is a lot of money involved and being lost."

  1. With so many to choose from, to save time, we've narrowed the list down to seven of our favorite tools that any corporate enterprise should be using. If a organization has ample coverage on the top of the latter, the company can both test your presentation skills as well as the bottom line and increase profit?
